Microsoft how to create a game

For example, if you open an email app from the main screen, you may see a list of emails. Conversely, if you use a social networking app that then launches your email app, you may go directly to the email app’s screen to compose an email.

When one app invokes another, the calling app invokes an activity in the other app, rather than the app itself. In this way, the activity serves as the entry point for an app’s interaction with the user. You implement an activity as a subclass of the Activity class.

Most apps contain several screens, which means that they include several activities. Usually, an activity in an app is specified as the main activity, which is the first screen that appears when the user starts the app. Then, each activity can initiate another activity in order to perform different actions. For example, the main activity of a simple email app might provide a screen displaying an email inbox. From here, the main activity could initiate other activities that provide screens for tasks such as composing emails and opening individual emails.
